How do I get Inspice user ID and password?

There are several ways to receive an Inspice password instantly without any cost. Do any of followings:

  • Activate SmartProtec anti-theft security service.
  • Report lost or stolen.

Then our web site will automatically send you a password via email upon confirming your email address.

Your Inspice user ID is the same as your email address.

A password is not required to browse our web site. You are recommended to change the arbitrarily assigned password with a new password, which is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.

Why don't I get an email from Inspice?

Inspice web site automatically sends out a confirmation email to the address you provided when you requested certain tasks (without being logged on) such as report lost/found, password change, and other Inspice service activation. However, many confirmation emails are never delivered or bounced back to us.

The most common reason why emails are not delivered is incorrectly entered email address. Another most common reason is email filtering. Yet another common reason is storage over quota. 

If you don't receive a confirmation email within minutes, most probably your email is returned to us due to one of the above reasons. Inspice automatically sends out email in no time and users normally get it in seconds.

If you didn't get the email yet, please try your request again on Inspice web site but make sure:

  • Enter a correct email address.
  • Your email filtering system does not block emails from Inspice.
  • Your email account has enough storage space.
  • You can actually receive emails to the address at any time.

If you do not confirm your request, your request will be cancelled. Please contact us if you need our assistance.

How do I recover my forgotten password?

Just click on the Forgot Password link at the Log In page. Provide your name and user ID (email) that are listed in your account.  Your password will be sent to you if your name and user ID are matched.

How do I change my password?

Go to My Inspice and click on Change Password link at the bottom. Enter your current password and new password.  The change will take place instantly.

How do I change my email (user ID)?

Go to My Inspice and click on Change Email link at the bottom. Enter your current email and new email.

You will receive a confirmation message to your new email address and follow the instruction.

How do I close my account?

Delete all your information and then do not log in or use your account if you want to close it. Inspice system automatically disposes of any empty and inactive Inspice accounts for a long period of time.

Note that once your account is disposed of, it won’t be recoverable.

How do I log in?

1) Go to Log In Page (or click on My Inspice link from the home page).  2) Enter user ID (your email address) and password.

As long as you stay logged in, your user Id (email) will be visible to you on the top right hand side. However, other users won't be able to see your user Id.

Note that we send you a password via email when you report a lost or found item first time.

Should I log out after use?

If you are logged in, you may want to log out after use, especially if you're sharing the computer with others. This practice would reduce the chances of misusing your account by others. 

How do I choose a password?

The length of password must be at least 4 characters without space and starting with an alphabet.  For example, following are acceptable passwords: bear10, blko5cn.

User ID (user name) must be your email address, e.g. me@inspice.com.

Tips: You may keep your password in a safe place. If some body knows or guesses your password, he may misuse your account under your name. You may use a difficult-to-guessable password and periodically change the password to increase security of your account.

Why don't I get a confirmation email?

Inspice web site immediately sends out a confirmation email to the address you provided when you requested certain tasks (without being logged on) such as property registration, SmartProtec activation, password change, and some other Inspice services. However, many confirmation emails are never delivered but bounced back or destroyed.

Email blocking is the most common reason why the email was never delivered. Another most common reason is misspelled email address. Yet another common reason is storage over quota.

Inspice automatically sends out emails in no time and users normally get it in few seconds. If you do not get the email within in 1 minute, please try your request again with your difference email address. Make sure:

  • Your email service provider does not block emails from Inspice.
  • Your email blocking program in your computer does not block emails from Inspice.
  • Check spam folder.
  • Enter a correct email address.
  • Your email account has enough storage space.
  • You can actually receive emails to the address at any time.

If you do not confirm your request, it will be cancelled. Please contact us if you need our assistance.

A password is immediately emailed to you upon completing a confirmation if it is your first time requesting Inspice service. However, you may never receive it due to the problem mentioned above. Then there is yet another measure you can use: How do I recover my forgotten password?

How is my private information protected?

We your identity and privacy:

  • Allowing finder to contact you immediately without disclosing any person information.
  • Concealing all your personal information including your email.
  • Never asking you any personal information. In fact, you are not required to provide us any personally identifying information such as your name or phone number.
  • Never sell or share your email or any personally identifying information with others.

Why should I use a reliable email service provider?

To prevent lose of important emails including emails from Inspice and Inspice Trace, you should use a reliable email service provider. Please be aware of that not all email service providers are equally reliable. Some email service providers intercept and destroy legitimate incoming emails without their customers' knowledge.

If you need a free and reasonably reliable email service provider, you may try www.gmail.com, www.yahoo.com or some others.
